Booking Terms

Please read through the following terms & conditions carefully.  It is the responsibility of the person making the booking (the party leader) to ensure that every member of the party has read and fully understood all the booking conditions.

The booking conditions as below apply to all booking made through Alandale House Bed & Breakfast.

Your Contract

Our acceptance of your deposit or full payment forms a contract between Alandale House and the party leader acting on behalf of all person in the party.  You are deemed to accept these booking conditions.  We reserve the right to change our terms & conditions without notice.

When making a booking you are required to submit an online booking form with all details of yourself and the names of all party members along with ages and date of births for all under 18years. You are also accepting the booking condition on behalf of all persons in the party. You will also be responsible for the payment of the holiday booked.

We will send all correspondence to you via email  and it is your responsibility to keep all party members informed.  We can not discuss the booking or enter into communications with any other member of the booking or 3rd party.

In the booking terms & conditions, 'the company', 'we', and 'us' refer to Alandale House and 'you' refers to the party leader.

Alandale House accept no responsibility for personal injury to guests, loss or damage to their property, or other matters that we have no control.

We can not be held responsibility for loss of any services (gas, water, electric & heating etc)  through out your stay.

Bookings

At the time of the booking you are required to submit and booking form online. You are also required to pay a deposit or payment in full.  A minimum deposit of 25% is required with all bookings.

Once your deposit has been received your will be email your confirmation details , once your have received the email YOU must check this & notify us of any incorrect information as this may invalidate your booking. It is your responsibility to check all the details on the confirmation letter are correct.

Provisional booking will only be held for 2 days for us to receive the deposit.

The holiday balance is to be paid on arrival by cash only.

All deposit are non-refundable and non-transferable.  We recommend that personal holiday insurance is taken out to cover any cancellations.
Deposit will be refunded if we are unable to accept the booking for any reason.

On receipt of your initial payment we will email your confirmation letter.. This will note the details of your booking and also act as a invoice for any outstanding monies.  If any details are incorrect you must advice us within 7 days.  We cannot accept responsibility for any errors concerning your booking after this time.

If you do not turn up for your stay, you are still liable for the full outstanding amount.

Whilst we endeavour to accommodate any special requests, we can not issue any guarantees.

American Express is not accepted

Check-in & Departure

Arrival for the Guesthouse is by prior arrangement only.  You need to contact our Guesthouse Manager on 07455 204 602.  At last 72 hours before arrival Check out time is by 10.000am. 
We kindly ask you to vacate your accommodation by this time to enable us to clean for the next arrivals.

Should you decide to leave our accommodation before your departure date for any reason, no refund will be available for the remaining stay.

All our accommodations are no smoking.

The property owner or his representative or a member of Alandale House staff have the right to enter the accommodation at any time, whether the accommodation is occupied or not.

Meal Plan

We do not offer any meal options at Alandale House Guesthouse.

If you Change or Cancel your booking

Any major changes or amendments to all bookings (i.e change of dates, names) after the initial confirmation has been issued will be subject to a charge.  All notification of changes to your booking must come from the party leader or booking person, by either email or writing.

We must be notified of any change of address or phone numbers including your mobile phone given on booking form at your earliest convenience.

All deposit are non-refundable and non-transferable.  We recommend that personal holiday insurance is taken out to cover any cancellations.
Deposit will be refunded if we are unable to accept the booking for any reason.

In certain circumstance you may be able to get a refund.  e.g unexpected posting or cancellation of leave by HM Forces. A substantiating certificate will have to be produced in all cases.  We will not issue a full refund for any other reason.

All cancellations must be done in writing by the booking person or party leader. In event that you are not covered by insurance , we will endeavour to re-let the accommodation, if we are successful the balance of the accommodation will not be due, or if already paid will be refunded, less the deposit.

Accommodation becoming unavailable

In the event of the accommodation becoming unavailable (e.g through fire or illness), we will endeavour to provide suitable alternative accommodation or will refund all monies paid or a proportion in the case of curtailment.  We reserve the right to move you to a alternative accommodation if necessary within Alandale House Bed & Breakfast or our sister business Eton Court Apartments.

Complaints

In the event of there being cause for compliant concerning a property, the matter should be taken up with the owner/caretaker or Alandale House staff at once.  It is important that this is done whilst you are still at the property so that an-on-the-spot investigation can be made if necessary and remedial action taken if required. In no circumstance will compensation be made for complaints raised after the tenancy has ended when the tenant has denied the owner/caretaker/staff the opportunity of investigating the complaint and endeavouring to put the matter right during the tenancy.  All complaints must be done by the party leader or booking person.

Date Protection

We will retain your personal information which you provide on your enquire or booking form.  This information will not be passed on to any 3rd parties, other than when required by law.
